We had tremendous success in this zone and it matches very well with the work we did with the Keyword Tool. Keep in mind that this range applies to most topics using the United States.
If you plan on using other countries, you will need to adjust your numbers accordingly. Here’s an example. Let’s say you are doing searches for Australia only.
Australia has a population of 23 million people. This translates into 7.3% of the population of the United States (317 Million People).
So when you do the math, at the low end you get 480 x 0.073 = 35 Searches and at the high end you get 33100 x 0.073 = 2416 Searches.
Do you need to follow this math exactly? No! But, you should lower your values if you are only expecting business from one specific country.
We have two clients in Australia and they are only interested in the Australian market. But, they are using the original range of 33,100 to 480. They are doing a tremendous job in Australia and worldwide too even though this is not their intended market.
We’d like to say feel free to try higher or lower numbers, but our success rate was nearly 100% in this range. Why mess around with a winner!
